Dear subscribers of the newsletter:

Well, I have been lazy not writing a new newsletter for a while, and I was just making modifications on the one I sent after Christmas! Since I will be traveling frequently starting next month, I figured I had to write about some changes and reconfirming dates for next yearbs trips. Some dates have shifted from previous newsletter.

The main news is of course 2 new trips that I will be offering next year: South Africa and Southern Ecuador. I thank you for all your inputs that help me get an idea of what you were looking for in the trip to South Africa. We will be doing a plant oriented trip (or course plenty of birds and also some big mammals during this part of the trip), starting in Cape Town region and going all the way to the Namibian border to visit Namaqualand National Park. We will see plenty of succulents for about 2 weeks, and during the month of September which matches the best time to see most of these plants in flower. Since a trip to South Africa is to most people a unique event, I will be offering an extension to Kruger and Swaziland National Parks so we will try to see the bbig fiveb from South Africa.

The other new trip is Southern Ecuador. I led a trip to Northern Ecuador last year, and was very happy with all the bromeliads I saw. Of course we saw an even larger number of orchids! The best part of this trip was of course, that everything was close by, so no long drives and many habitats in a single day. This fact, and the excellent accommodations made Ecuador a great place to travel.

(For new tours, info will become available soon on website). For those who have not visited Chile, I am offering a combination Chile-Argentina. We will be crossing the Andes twice, with spectacular views. Trip is not confirmed yet, but I have some people very interested, so a few more would confirm this trip.
